Parent Guidance Center has become the parent advocacy leader in Texas – analyzing what’s wrong with the child welfare system, bringing the parent voice to the table, recommending changes to policies and procedures, determining where money should be spent, and opposing negative parent legislation while supporting better legislation for families. We attend meetings, participate on committees, participate in round table discussions, train and consult with attorneys, and keep the parent voice in the forefront of high-level strategic discussions about CPS reform.

The Helpline is a project of the Texas Legal Services Center and is sponsored by the Children’s Commission of the Texas Supreme Court, The Children’s Justice Act, and the Texas Access to Justice Foundation.

The helpline is open, Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Spanish speaking services are also available.

Callers will receive legal information and education, but not legal advice or legal representation.
Questions about the CPS process will be explained to callers in everyday language.
